Barcelona is a cosmopolitan city where there really is something for everyone, so it should come as no surprise that there are two must-see destinations when it comes to trying the very best food and drink in town: Calle Blai and Calle Parlament.

Tapas Blai

Blai – find your favourite terrace for dining out in style

In Poble Sec, Blai has established itself as the place to go when you want to try the best tapas. A pedestrianised street full of typically Spanish terrace bars and intimate restaurants where the only drawback is deciding where to try.

Start your tapas trail through the city right here, where you’ll find plenty of traditional tapas bars, and here is a small selection of some of our favourites to get you in the mood.

La Tasqueta de Blai, specialists in vermouth with a broad selection of pinchos and tapas, you’ll find every kind of vermouth you could possibly wish for here, alongside some delicious tapas.

Blai 9, you don’t have to worry about breaking the bank here, because their sandwiches and skewers start at just €1 or €1.50, so you can probably afford to order as much as you like.

Blai Tonight, with a well-stocked bar and plenty of great tapas that’s sure to impress as soon as you walk through the door, they serve up a range of wonderful cold, hot and sweet tapas dishes!

Parlament – modern dining in Barcelona

Between Las Ramblas and El Paralelo you’ll find a booming area where you can enjoy sampling only the very best authentic Catalan cuisine.

Easily accessible from the city centre, but far enough out to avoid the crowds, Parlament is where you can enjoy everything from a leisurely breakfast or brunch to a late-afternoon pick-me-up or even an indulgent evening meal.

Bar Calders, one of the oldest bars in town that laid the foundations of Parlament’s fame as a dining hotspot. All the charm and atmosphere of the bar is sure to make it one of your favourite places to go in town, along with the delightful tapas that is sure to delight your tastebuds.

Café Cometa, another place you’ll fall in love with the moment you step through the door. Specialists in homemade cakes and coffee, it’s the perfect place for a great breakfast or snack to recharge those batteries.

El Dinàmic de BCN, a place to enjoy authentic Catalan food with just the right amount of a modern twist. You’ll also find a great range of craft beers on offer.

Lando, serving up all manner of European cuisine, you’ll find delicious food in a unique setting with industrial décor.
