Alimentaria Barcelona 2022, one of the most popular exhibitions held in the Catalan capital. This culinary conference is that the event will go ahead between 4 and 7 April 2022 at Fira Barcelona’s Gran Via location.

Despite having to be rescheduled, Fira Barcelona is happy the event is going ahead, given the popularity of this particular date in the diary. This great food, beverage and food services exhibition has been held every two years in Barcelona and brings together over 150,000 visitors from all over the world, alongside some 4,500 exhibitors from across the sector, 26% of which are international brands.

It goes without saying Alimentaria Barcelona 2022 is an unmissable opportunity for every player in the food industry. Data from previous years shows 6 out of 10 exhibitors said the culinary fair was a driver of their export business. What’s more, 75% of them are coming back after attending a previous edition. That makes it the perfect opportunity to make new contacts, retain customers and improve both a brand’s status and image. 

Since the first edition took place back in 1978, this food product conference has been carefully designed to showcase innovation, the latest trends and the globalisation of the food and drink sector. Of course, it’s also a key event for companies working in the industry to promote themselves.

Trends at Alimentaria Barcelona 2022

In order to promote each of the sectors with the food industry and to adapt to modern trends and needs, Alimentaria Barcelona 2022 will be spread across 10 halls according to different products and origins, including:

  • Grocery Foods, where you’ll find a range of food and drink for supermarkets and consumers.
  • International Pavilions, where you’ll find international produce from 70 different countries.
  • Lands of Spain, the exhibition that will highlight the variety and diversity of national dishes and produce from across Spain’s various autonomous communities and regions.
