Cursa de la Mercè

The race is organised to a very high standard and the proceeds from registration fees go directly towards the city’s charitable projects.
Cursa de la Dona
This women’s race is the biggest female sporting event in Europe. The race takes place in 8 cities across Spain, with Barcelona being the last stop on the programme. Solidarity and a desire to have fun are a must for enjoying this popular race. Anyone can take part in this low‑difficulty 8k race, where you won’t encounter any nasty hills along the way.
Jean Bouin
Known as the oldest race in Spain, it first took place way back in 1920. It’s a fun run that welcomes runners of all ages, from school children to retirees, on a route that takes in the beauty of the city. It is divided into two races, a 5k and a 10k, both with a flat circuit without any technical difficulties.
Cursa dels Nassos
A race organised by Barcelona City Council, it is regarded as a second San Silvestre, after the ever-popular San Silvestre Vallecana. This race is supported and developed by the Agrupació Atlètica Catalunya, bringing 10,000 runners together on 31st December for the wonderful 10k event. Don’t be surprised to see plenty of runners in fancy dress as they kick off the New Year’s Eve celebrations.
