(English) The Biggest Festivals in Barcelona
The Biggest Festivals in Barcelona for 2018 is bursting at the seams with great music events to suit all tastes, but all with one common denominator: good music, great atmosphere, plenty of fun and lots of good vibes. These four features attract hundreds and thousands of music fans each and every year, all captivated by the many festivals held in the city that make Barcelona a headliner on the festival circuit.
At HCC Hotels, we’d like to introduce you to a small selection of our favourite festivals that are coming to Barcelona in 2018:
Festival Mil·lenni
Spanning six months with over 30 different concerts, the Festival Mil·lenni gives you the chance to enjoy live music across a range of different concerts, with Spanish and international artists alike, showcasing quality sounds and an enormous audience.
Festival Cara-B
Barcelona’s Fàbrica Fabra i Coats will host this independent music festival, which will feature key figures from the Catalan and wider national underground music scene. Some of the confirmed artists so far include: Joe Crepúsculo, Bad Gyal, Fiera, Meneo, Los Nastys and Las Rosas.
MUTEK de Barcelona
Scheduled to take place in early March, although official dates are yet to be confirmed, MUTEK 2018 stands out for its commitment to new artistic techniques, both in sound and music. The festival will take place in three cities: Montreal, Mexico City and Barcelona.
BARCELONA PSYCH FEST
Psychedelic music lovers have a pair of unmissable dates to add to their diaries. As of now, the organisers have only confirmed British band The Cult of Dom Keller for this year’s event. The first edition of the festival, which was held at Upload, exceeded everyone’s expectations.
Festivals in Barcelona: PRIMAVERA SOUND
A must-see for all festival lovers, Primavera Sound 2018 will take place between 30st May and 3th June in the Parc del Fòrum. Hoping to exceed last year’s record of 200,000 attendees, the festival has already announced its line-up, including the likes of Arcade Fire, Bon Iver, Frank Ocean, The XX, Aphex Twin, Grace Jones, Slayer, Solange and Van Morrison, among others.
CRUÏLLA BARCELONA
The Parc del Fòrum will also play host to another instalment of Cruïlla Barcelona. The festival is a staple for indie, blues and Latino fans. This year, Cruïlla will feature performances from Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, The Lumineers, Youssou Ndour, Kase.O and Patrice, among others.
